In today’s world, security cameras have become ubiquitous. They are used to monitor the inside and outside of nearly every public building and business. Advances in technology have also made them available to most homeowners as well.

There are many different types of security cameras, with many different functions. Bullet cameras are probably the most common type of video camera used for security applications. Dome cameras (capable of rotating 360 degrees) are also quite popular.

Most security cameras can be found with a number of features that can greatly increase their effectiveness. Infra-red and night vision capabilities are highly sought after, especially for areas that require a high degree of security. Wireless versions of cameras can be quite handy when installing in an area that is not equipped with hard-wired electrical outlets.
